Student Information System FAQs (Students ONLY)

Access to the System
  • On the UNZA Main Website, go to Students Section
  • Click on Online Registration
  • Click on the appropriate link (based on your mode of study. For Students not on Distance Learning, click on http://gsbonline.unza.zm
  • Use your credentials as given to you in your admission documents sent to you
  • DO NOT forget to enter the Security Code displayed
  • Go to the Student Information System Home page
  • Click on Forgot password? below the Login Button
  • On the page that opens, supply details in the input boxes to identify you. Hit the Reset Password Button
  • If we can find your record based on the supplied information, then you will be able to reset your password on your own.
  • Course Registration
    The Process of Registration is as follows:
    Step 1: AWAITING STUDENT INPUT
  • Login using username and password (Username is student ID (Computer number), default password is computer number)
  • Click “Registration” and select courses from the list available
  • Core courses are already selected
  • After selection is complete, Click on “Submit for Approval”
  • Once clicked, status changes from “Awaiting Student Input ”to “Awaiting Approval”
  • For missing courses, extra courses or missing registration link, see HOD / Assistant Dean / Assistant Registrar in your school

  • Step 2: AWAITING APPROVAL
  • HOD / Assistant Dean approves courses
  • If there is delay in course approval, please see HOD or Assistant Dean in your school
  • Once approved, status changes to “Awaiting Payment”

  • Step 3: AWAITING PAYMENT
  • Fees are calculated for the student based on study mode, year of study, programme, sponsor, and nationality
  • Student will see the fees due for payment when they click “Finance”
  • Payments can then be made by the student to the bank using Bill Master form at any ZANACO branch
  • For incorrect fees or sponsor, see Student Finance office
  • For incorrect accommodation fees, go to Dean of Students

  • Step 4: REGISTERED
  • Once payments are made by the student and meet the minimum required (currently 37.5% of tuition + all other fees), registration status automatically changes to “Registered”
  • The student is then able to print a confirmation slip which is available on “Registration” menu

    To see the Course you are supposed to register for;
  • Login into your Student Account
  • Click on the My Registration Menu

  • There are a number of reasons why you may not see your courses in your account
  • Please confirm that YOUR Program, Major and Year of Study are correct
  • If any of these are not up to date, kindly see Customer Care Service or Your School( Office of the Assistant Registrar, HOD or Assistant Dean)
  • Kindly Visit UNZA Customer Service Centre with necessary documentation
  • Your Registration Status MUST be REGISTERED for you to be able to Print the Confirmation Slip.
  • If you still can not Print after the status changes to Registered, kindly visit Centre for ICTs (CICT)
  • Resumption of Studies
  • For these kind of queries, please visit (Academic Office)
  • For those Resuming Studies, Visit Academic Office with your letter of Resumption
  • Once Academic Office does its part, Kindly visit Student Finance for Adjustment of Fees
  • Appeal Cases
  • For Appeal cases, kindly visit (Academic Office) for necessary updates on your Student record
  • Can't Pay for my School Fees at the Bank
  • For these kind of queries, please visit (Academic Office) for your details to be sent to the Bank
  • Results withheld
  • For these kind of queries, please visit (Academic Office / UNZA Customer Service Centre ) for your details to be sent to the Bank
  • Student Fees
    Billing is part of the Registration Process. Therefore;
  • Your bill will only appear once you SUBMIT your Courses and your Course Registration has been Approved by your HOD in your School and the Status of you Account is AWAITING PAYMENT
  • Should Your Account's Status be AWAITING PAYMENT and the Bill is not reflecting in your student account, kindly visit Centre for ICTs (CICT)

  • There could be a number of reasons that this may happen other than the fact that the Transaction fromt he Bank has not yet reached your Student Account:

    Payment was wrongly deposited into another Student's Account

  • Can't Pay for my School Fees at the Bank

  • However, should your payment fail to reflect after an hour from paying, please see Student Finance
  • Most likely you made a payment before you were billed and your payments are hanging, please see UNZA Customer Service Centre
  • Always make sure that you PAY only after the Bill reflects in your Student Account
